Michael learned the pastry trade in Münster, obtained his championship title in Berlin in 2013 and then gained experience as a pastry chef throughout Europe. His last stop took him to Hotel Sacher in Vienna — the place where he met Sarah.

Impressed by the beauty of the region and its high-quality products, we have created a place of joie de vivre in a charming revitalized 19th century town house in the middle of Gmunden. The La Sonett - a poem and yes, so nice too - is a refuge of French joie de vivre in the form of a mélange of patisserie, boulangerie, café, bistro and design apartments. What makes our La Sonett special? The quality and conviction from which we pursue our passion for hosting. Thinking about today and tomorrow. Traditional craftsmanship, reinterpreted.
