Enjoyment will continue to be the focus of attention for all participants in the Generali Traunsee Half Marathon in 2025! On June 21, and therefore for the first time exactly on the summer solstice, the sunset will take place again!

The half marathon distance remains unchanged as in previous years: The participants in the Generali Traunsee Half Marathon start on Saturday, June 21, 2025 at 19:08 in Ebensee.

After a 5 km long loop in Ebensee, the AIMS-measured route takes all runners against a picturesque backdrop via Traunkirchen and Altmünster to the finish line in Gmunden. The unforgettable panorama and the run right on the lakeside make these 21 kilometers a special running experience.

“Running for everyone”: this is one of the messages of this event. To ensure that there is something for every runner, it is possible to complete two more distances in addition to the half marathon distance as part of the Traunsee Half Marathon.

As a result, in addition to the start of the Generali Half Marathon, the “longest Saturday” also includes the starting shots for the Intersport Pleasure Run (11.5 km) as well as the Omni-Biotic Sun Run and OÖN Junior Run (4 km each). Regardless of the distance completed, the motivational mile offers all runners a unique finish: Numerous spectators and a DJ will once again cheer on the participants on the motivational mile on the esplanade and make the last few meters an unforgettable experience.

Following the award ceremony, all “Sun finishers” and “Moon Shiners” can enjoy the sound fireworks over Lake Traun and celebrate the sporting successes of the day.
